CHARLESTON UNITED
AFTER SCHOOL SOCCER

The coaching staff would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you that have participated in making this program a success. There are many people who work behind and in front of the scenes who have donated their time to benefit all the young soccer players, THANK YOU.

We hope that we have inspired a passion in each child and that they would like to continue playing.

Our intention is to continue running a 6 week introductory program every fall and spring, hopefully developing other school programs. Players are welcome to return next season but we advise those of you who wish for a longer season, or more development, should look at moving into one of these programs:

The City of Charleston, Recreation Department, offers a wonderful recreational program for 4-18 year olds http://www.charlestoncity.info
Charleston United Soccer Club (CUSC) does not offer recreational soccer, outside of the “After School” program. CUSC does offer Developmental and Academy Soccer:

CUSC U9-U12 Developmental
Any player can play at the Developmental level. This program is designed for those of you who wish to receive a more instructional environment with qualified instructors. These teams will play in a local competitive league playing teams from throughout the low country area.

CUSC U10-U12 Academy:
Players must demonstrate either adequate playing capabilities or high athleticism. These teams will play in a more competitive league environment. Majority of games to be played locally but could travel out of town some weekends.

CUSC Training:
Every CUSC player will train with a team two days per week with a licensed/qualified instructor and is offered a 3rd training day. With CUSC we pay our coaches and hold each accountable for following the curriculum, offering you a high level of age appropriate instruction. All coaches are required to continue with educational courses and are evaluated throughout their season.

CUSC Scholarships and Cost:
CUSC is lowering it’s cost for the younger age groups, going into the Fall, 2008 season (to be announced).
For those of you who are in financial hardship, CUSC offers scholarships upon request and where available.
